Night Of The Living Dead - Aftermath

Look what slipped out on Bleeding Cool today...

Here’s a first look at the cover images from Avatar’s upcoming August Previews catalog solicitations. David Hine (X-Men: The 198Civil War: X-Men) will be taking their Night of the Living Dead franchise and creating something new and epic with it. The new ongoing Night of the Living Dead: Aftermath series is set to debut on Halloween day itself with a big promotional effort, and looks to be released hand-in-hand with the Night of the Living Dead: Day of the Undead graphic novel (64 pages, valued-priced at only $2.99).
Cover artwork below. Punk-tastic and gore-riffic. More to announce a little later on this subject!

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD! One of the seminal horror movies that blew my mind when I first saw it on its release in the UK, as support movie for SILENT RUNNING. It was the most unexpected cinema-going experience of my life. I never thought that one day I'd be writing a sequel. No time to go into details right now. Come back over the coming weeks and months for news and preview art...

Darkness Exclusive at San Diego

I'm not going to be at the San Diego Comic Con this year, but I'll be there in spirit. Whilce Portacio has drawn an exclusive Con variant cover for The Darkness #105. Here's what Top Cow has to say about it.

"Concluding David Hine and Jeremy Haun's explosive opening story arc, this issue sees Jackie Estacado, bearer of the Darkness, confronted with the disintegration of his perfect world. Available only at Comic-Con, this exclusive cover by Whilce Portacio features The Darkness and his Darklings!"

The book will be available from the Top Cow booth, priced at $10 and limited to 500 copies.

Burn, Barbie! Burn!

The Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred is coming to the end of its run and we're getting set to release the Trade Paperback collection. Destroyovski has been putting the finishing touches to the design and has come up with a neat image for the background of the credits page. Dolls  and mutilation have been recurring themes in this series, so The Immolation of Barbie seemed like the obvious way to go.

Here's the final image...

And here's the photo shoot...

Barbie was a gift from the collection of Steven Cook.
